The agreement comes just 48 hours after Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip in the Palestinian Territory on Tuesday. In which key commanders of the organization and their spouses were killed.
According to Reuters news agency, an Egyptian official has confirmed that a ceasefire agreement has been reached after three days of ongoing tension between Palestine and Israel.

Prior to the deal, Israel also launched missile strikes on Gaza, killing six people and injuring 12 others. The victims are said to be all civilians.

Israeli military spokesman says the incident is under investigation and that the attacks were in response to airstrikes in Gaza.

According to the agreement, Israel will not target militants and Palestinian protesters on the Gaza border weekly, said Mashable al-Barim, spokesman for the Islamic Jihad Organization.

Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz told the Radio Army that if the jihadist organization stops attacks on Israel, Israel will not attack Gaza.

Israel is thought to have airstrikes on the home of Baha'i Abu al-Atta, the leader of the Islamic Jihad in the Gaza Strip on Tuesday.

In response to the attacks, militants in Palestine fired missiles at various Israeli cities, including Tel Aviv.
