In particular, the night shooting mode appeared even in relatively inexpensive smartphones.

However, the flagship Nokia 9 PureView from HMD Global, which was the first to receive a five-module camera on the market and is positioned as the company's flagship smartphone, does not support night mode.

HMD Global's Deputy General Manager Juho Sarvikas answered a user’s question about why the developers have not yet released the corresponding update.

He explained that when creating this smartphone, the company used Light technology, which makes it very difficult to make any changes to the phone’s camera.

He clarified that because of this feature of the camera, they cannot use the "low light algorithm" on top of the Light company algorithm that is already in the system.

He advised those who are not satisfied with JPEG images to try to save them in DNG (RAW) and adjust the settings in Lightroom.

The successor to the Nokia 9 PureView is expected next year.
