Including the flagship Radeon RX 5950 XT

Rumours that AMD is preparing a new top-end graphics card have been around for a long time. Even at CES 2020, the head of the company, Lisa Su, officially confirmed that such a model is indeed under development. But the reality turned out to be much more interesting: there will be four times more new products than expected.

Data surfaced in the ECE database. As it turned out, the partner of AMD and Nvidia, the company Afox, registered in the base designations of promising models. And along with the current video cards in the list were four AMD cards that were not yet announced. These are the Radeon RX 5950 XT, RX 5950, RX 5900 and RX 5800 XT.

Of course, it is wrong to say that they are all top-end. For example, if the Radeon RX 5700 XT competes with the GeForce RTX 2070, then the Radeon RX 5800 XT should fit somewhere between the GeForce RTX 2070 Super and the GeForce RTX 2080.

But the following models, figuratively speaking, should cover the RTX 2080, RTX 2080 Super and RTX 2080 Ti on all sides. That is, the top of the AMD gamut will be three models - the Radeon RX 5950 XT, RX 5950 and RX 5900. All new GPUs will be produced using the 7 nm process technology.

However, how intense the competition will be is still a question. According to rumours, in March Nvidia will present its next-generation Ampere video cards. Also, by the way, 7-nanometer.
