This news is certainly good. But the bad one: according to rumours, the release of Comet Lake-S desktops may be delayed due to their very high power consumption, which we already wrote about. The official premiere of Comet Lake-S was expected to happen at CES 2020, but this never happened. 

Therefore, it is possible that their launch will be delayed for several months or a quarter. In this case, the sale of Comet Lake-S is at risk only by the beginning of summer.

According to the latest information, the Ice Lake 28W series will have at least one i7-1068G7, 4 cores and 8 threads, a reference frequency of 2.3GHz, a full-core core frequency of 3.6GHz, a single-core core frequency of 4.1GHz, and continue to integrate 64 nuclear display units.

Compared with i7-1065G7, under the premise that the thermal design power consumption is increased by 13W, the benchmark, full-core, and single-core frequencies will increase by 1.0GHz, 0.1GHz, and 0.2GHz respectively. Although it is still not ideal, it is not easy.
