In addition, the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max will be upgraded with three rear cameras, including a ToF lens, which will pick up the time it takes to return infrared light from the object to the lens.

All four new models will be equipped with A14 Bionic chips. The new processor will use TSMC's new 5nm EUV process, which has stronger performance and lower power consumption. TSMC said that under the same power consumption, 5nm will improve the performance of 7nm chips by 15%.

This also makes the A14 superior in technology to most Android flagships. Qualcomm Snapdragon 865, Samsung Exynos 990 and MediaTek Teana 1000 all use a 7nm process. The only 5nm process that may be upgraded is Huawei's Kirin 1020 SoC, which will be launched by Huawei Mate40 series.

In addition, in terms of memory, Apple will catch up with the mainstream level of Android. The latest report claims that the iPhone 12 Pro's memory capacity will increase by 50% to 6GB.
