The anonymous person said that some models of the upcoming "iPhone 12" will use a 20W fast charging head. Now, it seems that the charger has been certified in at least one country.

Foreign media MySmartPrice revealed that the new USB-C power adapter has surfaced in Norway's electronic certification database, and the leaked photos show the same model identifier as the A2305. The certification was issued on February 28, 2020.

Another power adapter with model identifier A2247 has also been certified in Norway and Australia, but no further details are available.


Apple currently provides 18W USB-C power adapters for iPhone 11 Pro models, while the iPhone 11 still comes with a slower 5W charger. If the news is true, then Apple is likely to adopt a similar approach in the "iPhone 12" series: high-end models use higher wattage chargers.
