iPhone 12 cable unable to support fast charging

iPhone 12 cable may not support fast charging

Finally, Apple officially announces iPhone 12 series. For the first time, four different models are available. The iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 belong to one series, while the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max is another series. The two are basically different in size.

The world community quite calmly accepted the news that the set with new Apple smartphones will no longer be headphones and chargers.

In explaining its decision, Apple said it would reduce carbon dioxide emissions and resource extraction, and added that there are over 2 billion Apple mobile chargers worldwide.

The only accessory that will now be present in the box with the new iPhone 12, as well as other Apple smartphones on the market, is the charging cable. However, a very unpleasant circumstance emerged here too.

Recall that now Apple is offering new iPhone owners a 20W power supply, which is available in the US for $ 19 , while the old 18W power supply cost $ 29. However, you will not be able to use the supplied cable to get all 20 W of the new power supply. It doesn't support fast charging, according to the source. Those wishing to charge their smartphone quickly should use a suitable cable, if available, or purchase one separately. Apple's official website for iPhone 12 says that fast charging allows you to charge your smartphone up to 50% in 30 minutes.

So far, this information about the cable has not been confirmed or denied by Apple. Therefore, it is worth waiting for the official comment from Apple about the supported charging power of the bundled cable or the appearance of the results of real tests, which should soon appear on the Web.

In the meantime, LG followed Apple's lead and removed the charger from the LG G8X ThinQ kit .

Pre-orders for the iPhone 12 start today at 15:00 Moscow time in many countries of the world, although in some places they started successfully yesterday. The iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max is discontinued a year after release, and  Samsung is making fun of the iPhone 12. Here you can find all information about  iPhone 12 models
